Job Description

Ocean 7 Days Pty Ltd is seeking a responsible and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of its convenience retail business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, supervising staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring excellent customer service and supporting the overall performance of the business.

The Retail Manager will play an important role in maintaining operational efficiency, implementing company policies, managing financial procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant workplace and regulatory requirements.

General Roles

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store(s).

Supervise, manage and support staff to ensure efficient store operations.

Maintain store cleanliness, presentation and security standards.

Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service issues professionally.

Ensure company policies, procedures and operational standards are followed.

Ensure relevant legal, licensing and regulatory requirements are followed.

Perform other duties reasonably required for the effective operation and management of the retail business.

Responsibilities

Prepare staff rosters, allocate shifts and manage staff attendance.

Recruit, train, onboard and develop new employees.

Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and feedback.

Manage inventory levels and order stock from suppliers as required.

Receive, check, store and organise incoming stock and deliveries.

Monitor product availability, pricing, displays and merchandising.

Manage sales, cash handling, banking and daily financial procedures.

Prepare and maintain daily sales and operational records.

Monitor store expenses and assist with financial management.

Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies and minimise stock loss.

Coordinate deliveries and transfers of stock between stores where required.

Liaise with suppliers, contractors and other business stakeholders.

Ensure equipment, facilities and store premises are maintained appropriately.

Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.

Assist with sales targets, promotions and strategies to improve store performance.

Prepare reports and communicate store performance and operational matters to business owners or senior management.
